App Store rejection explainer.
Got a rejection from Apple? Paste the message below. You get the guideline in plain language, what usually causes it, how to fix it, and a reply you can adapt. Nothing leaves your browser.
How App Review rejections work
Every app and update is checked by Apple's App Review team before it reaches the App Store. When something breaks a rule, you get a short message naming a guideline, such as Guideline 2.1 - Performance - App Completeness, with a description of what the reviewer saw.
Most rejections fall into a handful of patterns: crashes and missing demo accounts (2.1), store listings that do not match the app (2.3), digital purchases outside in-app purchase (3.1.1), apps that feel like a website (4.2), apps too similar to others (4.3), and privacy issues like missing account deletion (5.1.1). We explain each in why Apple rejects apps, and how to get approved next time.
