The Next BeaconAbout
A small studio that ships.
The Next Beacon is an independent digital product studio in the Netherlands. We design, build and launch apps and online platforms, for clients and for ourselves.
Why we exist
Most good ideas never reach the people they were meant for. They get stuck between an agency that is too big and a freelancer who is stretched too thin, or they launch half-finished and never get looked after.
We started The Next Beacon to be the team in the middle: small enough that you talk directly to the people doing the work, and complete enough to take a product from first sketch to the App Store and keep it running after.
We also build and run our own products, like Perron, Lorenly and FamMedley. Running real products every day keeps us honest about what it takes to make something people use.
What we believe
Honest from the first call
A realistic estimate beats an optimistic one. If we are not the right fit, we say so.
You own everything
Code, accounts, data and design live with you. No lock-in, ever.
Shipped beats perfect
A real version in people's hands teaches more than another month of planning.
Details are the product
The small things, like how a button feels or how fast a page loads, are what people remember.
The name
A beacon is the light you steer by. Every project starts with an idea that someone believes in; our job is to get it safely to shore, and to light the way to the next one.
